We have had some customers notify us of the leather tag making a mark on the fabric after washing. Sometimes when the hat is left in the washing machine or wet for a prolonged period, the leather's dye can leach a bit onto the fabric.
This mark can be removed by gently wetting the area, then applying some bi-carb soda (baking soda) to the area.
Place a few drops of white vinegar on the area until it fizzes up, then gently work into a paste.
Let sit for 30 - 60 minutes, then handwash hat in the sink with warm to hot water and a bit of dishwashing liquid.
Rinse hat and dry without delay. The mark should disappear once the hat has dried completely.
